Dr. Jilynn Hess, D.c. M.s.

Dr. Jilynn Hess, D.C. M.S., better known as “Dr. J” is the founder and clinic director of Mint Condition.

Dr. J has been developing her passion for functional wellness since she was a teenager.  She began her career as a student athletic trainer at her local high school and decided to continue her sports specialty at the University of Pittsburgh, where she was also an Athletic Trainer. While she was at Pitt, she found a challenge and excitement in manual care. She became intrigued with human biomechanics and functional performance.  This led her to the field of chiropractic. To continue expanding her knowledge Dr. J attended Logan Chiropractic College in Chesterfield, Missouri.

While attending Logan Chiropractic College, she was chosen for an advanced program that allowed her to work with collegiate athletes, the disabled, and women’s specific care. Dr. J loves to travel and completed her master’s degree in Israel while working in a rehabilitative hospital. She traveled the country working with amputees, Olympic and professional athletes, and everyday people. It was a beautiful experience that changed the way she looked at health care and inspired her to broaden her skills.

Dr. J has thousands of hours of advanced education beyond her chiropractic degree.  Since returning back into the rural community and expanding her family with her husband Ryan and her daughter Kaeza, she has found a passion for pediatric care and women’s health, especially pregnancy.  This has led her to dabble in the functional medicine world, further diving into root cause medicine.

In addition to the love for her patients, Dr. J enjoys being active with running, paddle boarding, yoga, and dirt bikes.  She is a little bit of an adrenaline junkie who has quite an optimistic zest for life.

Whether you are struggling with a chronic condition, recovering from an injury, or simply looking to improve your overall health, Dr. J is here to serve you!
